I've fitted DS Pallas pillar trims, much nicer than corrugated items (originals can go with the car). The only thing he found was that the hydraulic pump was leaking. Unlike many survivors, this car runs the original and correct, early NSU Wankel twin plug motor. Brakes modified to disc front with booster to front and back. All receipts for all work done to the car, Has some rust in the body. Exterior: A few small unnoticeable scratches and some small rust bubbles over the 2 front wheel arches Roof: Black vinyl. The split folding rear seat was a novelty in the early 70s. It shows 25,000 miles on the odometer, presumably 125,000. The chrome, lights and other ancillaries present very well. A small quantity of spare parts accumulated over the years goes with the car. Great colour combination Sunbeam Silver metallic with burgundy interior. Areas of criticism: A concern with any English import is rust. It has been a star of many displays and always attracts admiration for its authenticity and quality of construction. For the aficionados yes the Abarth body work is incorrectly applied to a 4 door body, but its a replica you can use, well executed, convincing, and the period graphics make this car stand out from the crowd. It has a new radiator, 5 new wheels, new front wheel cylinders and a new exhaust. Approx half of the 70 cars were equipped with the undesirable SMG1 gearbox, and a good % of the manual cars were in quirky BMW Individual colours, making this desirable black on black full manual a rare car. I have owned this vehicle for the past eight years, it has always been garaged and has only travelled 153,000km.
