So the database said the updates were approved and when client tryed to download the update the WSUS server was unable to deliver the file as it no longer existed resulting in error 80244019.
The WSUS will now go down and when it comes up it will start re-downloading the update files, this maybe be a fairly large download.
I recently completed a small project for a Boston area firm which involved installing Microsoft Windows updates on all of my client’s domain controllers.
They had not been installed in 3-5 years on any of these important servers!
Clients were unable to download updates from our internal WSUS server, the download failed with error 80244019 however the same clients could download the updates fine directly from Microsoft.
A couple of weeks ago a technician had declined a large amount of active needed updates and run the server cleanup tool, when this was discovered the WSUS SQL Database was restored giving the appearance that everything was back to normal however the server cleanup wizard had removed the files.
Verbose logging shows additional information about the interaction with the client user interface.
From above log snippet ,you see that,the total actionable updates = 0 means ,client do not require any additional updates that you targeted to this PC. For some reason,if the client says non-compliant from your sccm reports,try to refresh compliance state using $SCCMUpdates Store = New-Object -Com Object Microsoft. From above log, Assignment has total CI = 6 ,means ,the assignment has total 6 patches particular assignment group and patch count .
when the software update scan cycle initiated, Windows update agent (windows update service) will contact WSUS (SUP) for scanning and if is successful,a state message will be sent to site server confirming that,software update scan is completed successfully which can be seen from this log.
Get the report to know the software update scan results from If software update scan is successful from ,you can ignore this log file and directly move to next log (updatesdeployment.log) .
